Important Instructions


For Convocation Consent

  • The Convocation fee is Rs.1800/- (Rupees One Thousand Eight Hundred Only) payable online. The Degree Certificate, Grade sheet etc. will not be given to the students who fail to complete the No-dues and/or pay the Convocation fee.
  • If you do not wish to be present in person for the Convocation ceremony, the degree certificate, grade sheet etc. will be sent by post after you complete the No-dues and pay the Convocation fee.
  • If you have completed payment through payment gateway and the fee amount has been debited from your bank account but for some reason you do not receive payment successful message, please send an email to akt@iitk.ac.in / ashishsh@iitk.ac.in with details of Roll No, Transaction ID, Transaction date, Bank Name, Payment Gateway Name, Pay Mode (Net Banking & Credit/Debit Card). Do not Refresh the page or click the Back link on your browser while your transaction is in process.
  • After submitting the form and making the payment, please save the pdf of the same for future reference.

For Convocation Accommodation

  • Last date for submitting accommodation request is June 27, 2024 [23:59 Hours].
  • The degree recipient students will be provided shared accommodation as per availability in the halls. The accommodation can be booked for a maximum of four days during June 27 to July 01, 2024.
  • Check-in time: 8:00 AM on 27.06.2024 and Check-out time: 8:00 AM. on 01.07.2024
  • Institute will not be able to provide accommodation to the family members accompanying the degree recipient.
  • All the male students will be accommodated in various male student halls.
  • All the female degree recipients will be accommodated various female student halls.
  • The allotment of halls/rooms to the degree recipients will be done by the DOSA office upon apply for the accommodation and payment of the accommodation charges.The Hall of Residence/Room allotted to you will be shown in the Accommodation Portal within 02 days from last date of form submission.
  • The accommodation charges include the room rent and bedding charges (one mattress, one bed sheet, one pillow with cover, one bucket, one mug). The food charges will have to be borne by the students separately on cash coupon basis (later, further information will be provided to the students attending the convocation). The degree recipients shall be provided Non AC rooms and the common washrooms available in the Halls of Residence. The accommodation charge per day per student for the Convocation is: Rs. 320(Rs. Three Hundred Twenty Only).
  • The Degree Recipients should apply for accommodation after paying the accommodation charges in SBI-icollect  (CONVOCATION ACCOMMODATION CHARGES) :- Click Here
  • Payment made is non-refundable/non-transferable.
  • After making the payment and submitting the accommodation form, please take a printout of both SBI-icollect receipt and the accommodation form.
  • The degree recipients are required to follow the rules and regulations of the Halls of Residence. They are requested not to indulge in any activities that may vitiate the atmosphere of the Halls and affect other residents adversely.
  • Tobacco, alcohol and other intoxicants are strictly prohibited inside the IIT Kanpur Campus.
  • The degree recipients are requested to bring their own locks/keys and ensure the safety of their belongings. The Hall authorities shall not be liable for any loss.
  • Water filters are available in each block or near the canteen/mess. However, the degree recipients are requested to arrange for their own water bottles/ containers.
  • If the degree recipient needs to extend his/her stay on Campus, they may approach the Hall office and pay the requisite room charge after confirmation.
