Filling in the information and uploading documents

  • Preparatory Students admitted at IIT Kanpur through JEE (Advanced) 2020 are required to fill in the Preparatory Student Registration Portal.
  • Preparatory Students admitted through JEE (Advanced) 2020 have to signup using their JEE (Advanced) Roll Number.
  • After signup, student will receive a Login Id and Password through an auto-generated email to sign-in from oaacad@iitk.ac.in. The email will be sent to the email id registered with JEE (Advanced) examination.
  • Student will need to upload the following documents:
    1. Class 10th Marks Sheet
    2. Class 12th Marks Sheet
    3. Aadhar Card (without Password Protected)
    4. Category Certificate (If applicable)
    5. Physically Handicapped Certificate (If applicable)
    6. Document verification and Seat acceptance letter (Downloadable from JOSSA Website) OR Provisional seat allotment letter (Downloadable from JOSSA Website)
    7. Medical Report (same certificate which was uploaded on the JOSSA website)
    8. Ethical Practice Undertaking Form for Computer Centre
    9. Self Declaration Undertaking
    10. Photograph
    11. Signature
  • Recent passport size, front facial photograph and clear signatures should be scanned and uploaded in .jpg format with a maximum size of 40kb each.
  • Other documents should be scanned and uploaded in .pdf format with a maximum size of 1 mb each. Unclear or blurred uploads or pictures of the documents taken from mobile phones will not be accepted.
  • You are requested to fill in correct information and upload genuine documents on the portal. Any false or misleading information may lead to a disciplinary action or cancellation of candidature.
  • This application is best supported on Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.


Payment of Fees

  • After filling in the information required and uploading the documents, students need to pay the Institute fees online through a payment gateway.
  • Fees may be paid through Net Banking (without transaction charges) or through Credit/Debit Card (with transaction charges @0.75% of the total fees amount + service tax, as applicable).
  • In case the amount is debited from your bank account but does not reflect on the profile page, please wait for a couple of hours and do not attempt to pay for the second time. In case the payment is not reflected on your profile with in 24 hours, please write to oaacad@iitk.ac.in providing details of your JEE (Advanced) Roll No., Transaction Id, date of transaction, Bank details, Bank Account Number, Mode of Payment(Net Banking or Credit/Debit Card etc.)
  • Duplicate payment, if any, shall be refunded to the same account from which it was debited.
